The countryside and conservation sector is really rather large and the range of jobs and careers on offer is huge. Countryside Jobs Service brings together jobs, information and news from across the sector to save you time when searching for jobs and/or keeping up to date with what’s happening in the world of environmental, wildlife, countryside and nature conservation.
Countryside Jobs Service or CJS has been publishing newsletters since 1994, originally simply advertising jobs in the sector but today each daily and weekly edition contains a host of information from in depth features and news to important announcements. With all this accumulated knowledge CJS has a wide range of information to share with you.
CJS works with and is endorsed by many of the sector's major organisations and is delighted to be the official jobs service for the Rangers Associations of England, Wales and Scotland: Countryside Management Association and the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association.
The CJS website has information about all the areas of the sector including environmental education, you'll find job profiles for the many and varied roles available across the profession, information on skills, training and CPD with a full library of in depth features covering a wide range of subjects plus details of useful organisations here.
It’s never too early to enthuse children in the natural world and to encourage them to think about a life in conservation; the more they know about the jobs available the easier it is for them to see the available opportunities.
