Tanhouse Meadow is a traditional hay meadow full of wildflowers, designated as a County Wildlife Site and situated in the Cotswold Hills AONB. It contains the Luckington source of the Bristol Avon, which can be seen either as a spring in early summer, or later in the year when Wessex Water pump up to 2 million gallons of water a day into the river. The field also contains a silted up oxbow lake formed more than 100 years ago. Birds seen include Yellow Wagtail, Lapwing, Goldcrest, Kingfisher, Heron and Buzzards.
