Well done to all the children who have been working hard over the past few months to complete their Countryside Classroom Passports! These fantastic booklets are the culmination of a number of innovative ideas drawn from CC partners and LEAF Regional Education Consultants. The activities take the form of challenges asking children to find out, write, make, draw, do, and visit, all themed around food, farming and the natural environment.
The booklet was carefully designed so that children had a wide range of fun things to do that would also develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of topical issues, Elizabeth Lake said “it has been a real pleasure to read about the places children have visited and wonderful to see all the research they have done into topics as varied as how drones are used on farms, what bee friendly plants can be grown in the garden, to finding out what different quality assurance labels mean on food packaging.”
All successfully completed entries will be receiving certificates and a surprise craft activity in early November.
