Fab, fun, food education is what Fun Kitchen are all about and they've recently been welcomed as a new Countryside Classroom Partner.
Their ‘pop up’ cookery workshops at primary schools, county shows and food festivals across the country have really hit the spot with thousands of young people over the last five years. The award-winning team of qualified food teachers, led by Simon Gray, is passionate about teaching all about food to the next generation and they are all experienced chefs or cooks too. Their cookery-class workshops provide a safe, secure and fun environment for children to learn new skills, explore tastes, cook up healthy, tasty treats and embed core skills through cooking. There is no need to source any ingredients or special equipment, they bring everything to you including the best local ingredients, use of aprons and chef’s hats; recipe cards are also provided. Workshop content is differentiated to reflect the age range and skills of the children and current topics can be incorporated to teach curriculum areas through the medium of food.
