The John Muir Award (an environmental award scheme) has produced this two-page guide to outdoor learning, containing information about the benefits of outdoor learning, as well as a list of useful websites.
This is a free Award, aimed at engaging schools with woods and trees. The Award has links to the curriculum and activities and challenges aimed at helping children to understand the importance of trees and nature.
Starting this term, Learning With Nature will be working with St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Nympsfield, Gloucestershire, to embed outdoor learning into their school curriculum.
