Your day will be spent linking Farming/Food with Wildlife/Conservation together, learning how farming works to produce your food and how farming has a responsibility for protecting plants, trees, wildlife, insects & their needs.
We will see crops growing in the fields and learn how farming must provide nature with the food & habitats needed for them to survive and thrive. There are many plants and insects waiting to be discovered, children can use binoculars/magnifying glasses provided to see it they can spot any wildlife/insects or birds of prey in their natural environment, learning throughout the day how everything is linked and depends on each other for survival.
Throughout the day we will explain the importance of all insects & the impact they have on the environment.
Our Pineapple House where you will learn more about farming & do some hands on activities-
weighing & measuring grains from the farm, make some oat milk & sort some seeds.
Soil/Grassland studies teaching just how vital good soil is for all life including farm crops [your food] we will visit our field to find out how healthy our soil is.
