Wilderhope Farm is a mixed arable and sheep farm which forms part of the Wilderhope Estate, the main feature of which being a 16th century manor house which is owned by the National Trust. The farm is located within a valley, through which runs a small tree lined stream. Wheat, barley, oil seed rape and oats are grown on the arable land, with the remainder of the land being managed through sheep grazing / cutting for hay. Three former arable fields have recently been reverted to grassland in an attempt to increase the amount of species rich calcareous grassland on the holding.
