Isnage Farm is an organic farm enterprise, comprising of arable, sheep (including native breed Hebridean sheep) and a small single suckle herd of cattle. The farm's crop rotation includes a 3 year grass/clover ley; winter wheat; spring and winter beans and spring barley. The farm has undertaken diversification enterprises including the creation of a 'trim trail' where the public pay to walk on the farm to increase fitness under tuition, direct sales of lamb, beef and honey from farm gate and environmental stewardship. The farm has a long history of farming with wildlife in mind and has a great range of biodiversity including wildflower margins, farmland birds and species rich grassland.
