This is an upland 400ha permanent pasture mixed grazed farm with sheep and cattle which include pedigree registered Highland cattle. The holding has 290ha of SSSI moorland which includes a wealth of important prehistoric archaeological features and moorland birds such as the Stonechat and the Whinchat. The fields near the farm house still have remnants of ridge and burrow and the old railway line route is still visible.
