Harper Adams University College - Farm

Harper Adams is an academic institution dedicated to land based education. The college farm is located in an area of intensive arable farming within the east Shropshire plain. It is predominantly of arable grass and woodland. A fully commercial farm, the livestock enterprise includes a 380 cow dairy herd, 200 ewe sheep flock and 240 sow pig unit. The arable section includes oilseed rape, wheat and maize. Wildlife habitats are important, as such there is a policy of preservation and improvement through active management and the use of integrated farming techniques.
