Backs Bottom Farm was a small dairy and sheep farm until 1968. It is now run as an extensive sheep farm with the recent introduction of a forest garden orchard and a study centre. The woods are ancient semi-natural broadleaved of natural importance. Work is in progress to develop associated coppice crafts, charcoal, yurts, greenwood furniture and drums, at the same time as developing the woodland diversity.
