Lenton Farm was part of the Great Chalfield Manor Estate, dating from the 12th century. The farm lies next to the main drive to the manor and comprises hedged fields dating back to the clearance of the woodland in the 1780s. These coupled with wildlife corridors along the Gambrook and sympathetic farming practices provide habitat for many different plants, insects and animals, from redstarts and barn owls to harvestmice. The farm yard consists of traditional and modern buildings used as the centre of the main sheep enterprise, where lambing and shearing can be witnessed.
