The site has a traditional wealdon meadow with other habitats and features present including ponds, hedgerows, a copse etc. It is being managed for conservation with the aim of enhancing the species-richness of the old meadow. The ponds and ditches are being restored to provide good quality aquatic habitats. The species- rich hedgerow and woodbanks are being managed sympathetically too. All of these features will attractive to local schools and groups, to help broaden their understanding of the countryside and its features.
