Story Sticks: connecting nature and writing

Teachers can use this resource to guide children in using story sticks when outdoors to develop writing skills. Children create a story stick by collecting a range of natural items from the outdoors and attaching them to a stick. Their story stick is then used to help them write a story, using their imagination and each item to support them in constructing sentences that link to one another.
