Plastic is an important material used in agriculture. However, if these plastics are not managed well they can escape into the environment, getting into our soil, rivers and eventually our sea!
This resource helps deliver the City and Guilds Advanced Diploma in Agriculture, looking at what plastics is used on farm, impacts of plastic pollution and potential solutions. Each lesson contains a powerpoint and student activity worksheets.
This resource will:
1. Outline the scope of plastic waste management and regulation
2.Describe waste storage regulation on site
3.Use case studies to demonstrate how to create a good waste management plan to prevent, reuse and correctly dispose of plastic farm waste
