Whippletree Farm

Whippletree Farm

Whippletree Farm is a 50 acre mixed farm. It has new and ancient woodland, pasture, where cows and sheep graze and a market garden. The market Garden produces vegetables, herbs, salad and edible flowers that retail in the south west.
We love running educational trips that get kids involved with where their food comes from. They are tailored to each year group and incorporate national curriculum learning.
Each session involves a tour of the farm, an activity with something to take home and eating food harvested together.
Examples include, following the journey from seed to plate, with transplants to take home.
Smoothie making, apple pressing, bug hunting, the edible rainbow treasure hunt, Pasta and pesto making and printmaking with flowers and plants.
We have many years of experience with education and facilitation as well as expertise in ecology and sustainability.
Get in touch with Lucy to discuss tailoring your trips, they can be one offs or a series of trips that span all seasons.
