Our lakeside location, just a few minutes' walk from the mud, saltmarsh and sand dunes of the mighty Ribble, is the perfect base to explore the seaside with us.
The Ribble Discovery Centre, which we run in partnership with Fylde Borough Council, offers a unique hands-on and fun learning experience. With programmes ranging from mud dipping to minibeasting, and coasts to plants, there are opportunities for all key stages.
Our centre has a large learning space which you can use as a base for your visit. Within easy reach of this, there is a variety of interesting habitats, making a trip to the Ribble Discovery Centre a safe, yet exciting, coastal visit.

Limited wheelchair access to the habitats - with minibeasting, plants and seasons being the most appropriate for access.
Pricing
Primary or Early Years per child:
£3.50 to £4 per two-hour session, or £6 to £6.50 for two sessions to make a full day.
There is a minimum charge of £75 for a half day and £120 for a full day.
Secondary KS3 and KS4 per child:
£5 per two-hour session, or £8 for a full day.
There is a minimum charge of £100 half day and £160 for a full day.
A-level per student:
£6 for a half day, or £10 for a full day.
There is a minimum charge of £100 for a half day and £160 for a full day.
