At Ovingham Middle School we have recently completed the installation of an Aquaponics System to help teach pupils about the science of plants and grow food for our school canteen and the local community. Aquaponics is an interesting approach to growing organic fruit and veg in a hydroponic setup but instead of using chemical fertilisers a fish tank is used as a water source.
