Mabley Farm is a 63ha holding comprising of grassland, parkland and woodland. The grassland is a combination of lowland meadow, calcareous grassland and fen; being managed/restored through sympathetic hay meadow and pasture management to enhance its species diversity. The grazed land is being managed with traditional breeds of livestock, Longhorn cattle and Wiltshire Horn sheep. There is also a linear permissive access route on the farm linking it to an adjacent Herefordshire Nature Trust Reserve. Capital works being carried out to enhance the habitat value on the farm include hedgerow and pond restoration, scrub management and coppicing/pollarding of trees.
