Historic upland farm on the high limestone ground overlooking Settle and Ribblesdale. All grassland farms with traditional upland hay meadow, species rich limestone pasture and woodland. The farm is approximately 65 hectares. Presently stocked with half bred sheep producing finished lambs and provides grazing for pedigree Highland cattle. Building on a successful Countryside Stewardship Agreement the farm is now entered in the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme. There is a dedicated on site educational facility for schools, colleges and adult groups. Tom Lord the farmer is an authority on upland landscape history and the archaeology of the Yorkshire Dales.
