Visit Sudeley Castle and discover a wealth of history and royal connections spanning over 1000 years. Sudeley’s fascinating exhibitions tell the story of Sudeley through the ages, with artefacts belonging to Katherine Parr, including a lock of her hair and a tooth taken from her coffin which is now entombed beneath a fine Victorian effigy in St Marys Church in the Castle Gardens.
Other artefacts include archaeological items found around the estate and a collection of letters from Victorian Chatelaine Emma Dent to well known personalities of the time. The Collection ranges from needlework and jewellery to a remarkable autograph compilation, which includes many of the authors, artists and statesmen of her day including examples from Charles Dickens, Florence Nightingale and Sir Charles Darwin.
