Tyland Barn houses a host of child friendly displays showing the variety of Kent habitats and their history. There are ‘feely’ boxes, a large touch table and buttons to press. Live bees can be viewed through a glass sided hive. In spring and summer a nest box outside the Barn is linked to a video camera which shows on TV what goes on in a nest. There is a gift shop and café and the toilets are situated in this area. A variety of quizzes, which can be completed in the Barn and the grounds, are available for use during this session.
