Brackenborough Hall Farm is a modern commercial farm, producing wheat, barley, oilseed rape, beans and beef in an attractive wildlife friendly environment. The cattle grazed parkland is the site of the deserted medieval village of Brackenborough, where the earthworks of the old building plots can be seen. The farm is now in Higher Level Environmental Stewardship which involves making the village site available to the public, restoring some hedges, revitalising a pond, creating wildlife friendly margins around arable fields, growing wild bird seed mixtures to feed birds through the winter and planting pollen and nectar rich flower mixtures to help pollenators, particularly bees through the summer.
