The site consists of two areas: Quex Park which is on the Isle of Thanet and Kingsend Farm which is near Sandwich. Quex Park is on chalk based soil and the site is made up of an historic park of typical parkland scenery, established at the beginning of the 19th century and more open country outside the park. Beef cattle and the following arable crops: potatoes, wheat, barley and oilseed rape, are the main enterprises. There are over 60 acres of woodland with easy access. The estate is managed to enhance wildlife with new hedges and wildlife strips recently planted.
