The Countryside Education Centre is based in the stunning grounds of the historic Holdenby Estate and offers exclusive use of woodlands, ponds and the Estate grounds. The centre is run by a qualified primary teacher with over 12 years experience in delivering outdoor educational experiences for schools. A wide range of topics are covered and all activities are linked to EYFS guidelines and/or National Curriculum. Activities include pond dipping, mini beast hunts, den building and team building activities, orienteering, environmental art, nature trails, maths and literacy activities plus programmes linked to popular fiction such as Stick Man and The Hungry Caterpillar. Bespoke programmes can also be developed on request. Visiting schools have exclusive use of the education centre and woodland making a visit to us a "wild" experience for the children and a safe and stress free one for the teachers!
