Green Farm is a smallholding in the village of Crowle with some interesting habitats and species. There is a traditional orchard being restored, with unusual ground flora such as adder’s tongue fern and a variety of bird life including green and greater spotted woodpeckers. The farm also has ancient hedgerows, historic buildings, ponds, meadows, a small woodland and the rare Brown Hairstreak Butterfly. The location affords good views from the top of the hill. Farm Tours are available, and visitors can learn about the history of the farm, the special wildlife that lives there, the small scale sheep enterprise and how these special features are being managed through the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme.
