Emmett's Grange is a working hill farm, balancing modern farming methods whilst preserving the ecology, archaeology and biodiversity of its sensitive landscape. The farm is home to many rare and protected species and boasts both CW's & SSSI moorland. Visits can be tailored to suit the needs of the group and can include a focussed study day on the archaeology (Industrial/Prehistoric Mortuary/Moorland Reclamation) or the landscape (relict water-meadow systems and designed landscapes) or can include a more rounded approach by mixing a range of options. Farm walks can include an introduction to upland farming, conservation and food production.
