Pillaton Hall Farm is situated in the Forest of Mercia. It is a working arable farm growing milling wheat, oilseed rape, lupins, potatoes and herbs for the Asian community, including coriander, fenugreek, spinach and sweetcorn. It supports a small pedigree South Devon suckler herd and a broiler chicken unit of 66,000. Pillaton Old Hall is situated in the heart of the farm and centuries of old hedgrows and examples of ridge and furrow methods of farming still exist.
