Harrow School

Harrow School

The School owns a farm which boys help to run - looking after the herd of Longhorn cattle and maintaining the farm buildings. Through Community Service and the Planned Giving committee, many boys at all levels of the School are regularly involved in work with different groups of people in need of help and care. The aims are to meet the needs of the community and to develop the awareness and potential of the boys who participate. The School Farm is a thriving and growing community which includes what is regarded by the Longhorn Cattle Society as a "large" herd of English Longhorns, a growing number of Shetland sheep, a flock of chickens, a pair of donkeys and a Harris Hawk.  Any school wishing to visit should contact Mark Ridgway at the Biology Department, 020 8872 8311.
